Tremaine had been sent to investigate Sinclair McCallister by his superiors and stumbled across evil incarnate! McCalllister had enslaved, beat and raped Liz, an eleven year old child. His sinister purpose was to steal her magic for his own use as he had done to other innocents.
A scream echoed from the next room. Tremaine ran into the hall. There was another shrill cry, this one full of pain as child yelled, “No, stop.”
With the help of Tremaine, Liz is healed and placed with a friend’s family. She meets Robert and he becomes her protector and friend. Liz magic is strong and she learns quickly and is moved forward to a more advance class where she forms bond with Robert and his friend Preston. The three become an Enforcer team, training under Tremaine after graduation. Robert and Liz marry and everything should have been happily ever after, but evil has a way of finding good.
Tears ran down his face as he stared at her words. He knew James had hurt her, but their baby? He could hardly breathe. The blood, the way she clutched at her stomach, it all made sense now.
Tremaine, Robert and Liz are reunited to fight an evil awakened. James is coming after Liz. It is no longer Robert and Liz, it is now Tremaine, Robert and Liz! Three lovers joined together as one.

Like all other stories I have read from Brandy L. Rivers, I feel this one is well written, and very entertaining. It is however probably my least-liked of the series. I was interested in reading the story of these three since they showed up in the previous books. I totally enjoyed the back story presented in the beginning. I really felt for the heroine and all she had to endure. In saying that, I really did not like her character when it progressed to modern times. I thought a lot of times, she acted selfishly, drank too much, and swore like a truck driver. These things may not normally bother me, but I felt they were out of context with the rest of the series. I did like the progression of the relationship. The ménage sort of naturally fell into place making it seem more realistic. I don't think I could really handle one more person apologizing though. I don't think I ever read so many "I'm sorry's" before. I'm more of a "get over it and move on" type of person. (Granted, I NEVER went through what she went through, and I can't even begin to imagine doing so). I am looking forward to more from this series.
I was happy to reading Brandy rivers books.You have to have a very open mind for this one book.I loved it.It shhows you how it is to be in love with two people at the same time and the way to slove it.But some people may not like it.You'll read very sexual things in it and some my think its gross.As for me I enjoyed it.I would say read it you may learn something.
Great story of overcoming the bad things in life and never giving up. Wonderful reading about more characters in Edenton - I love the Others! And now a bit about the story...
Liz has been abused for most of her life. She had been kidnapped as a baby and used since then. Her magic is more than she can contain though and when her captor tries to rape her she ends up killing him. Luckily Tremaine had been sent to look into the who situation and gets her away from the Sinclair estate before it burns to the ground. He takes her to a friend (and Sinclair's brother), who raises her like his own. She comes into learning magic easily and is accelerated in classes. But this family she thinks loves her could be her downfall. Some are jealous, some are in love, and some just want her dead. She how it all comes together in the 3rd full length novel of the Others of Edenton!
